19th April 1997 - Putrakameshtiyaga yajna puja (prayer for couples without
children) was conducted during which Swami showed His acceptance of the offerings by shaping the flame of the
fire into the form of Lord Krishna.
25th April 1997 - In response to the prayers and fasting of Mr. Omkumar for an idol of
Swami Himself, Swami instructed a group of devotees to go to Rameshwaram. There Mr. Omkumar dived in the sea and
brought up a 24ct gold idol of Swami, the only one in the world. Mr. Omkumar warned that the idol was hot,
but one devotee, Mr. O.K. Ragunath in his eagerness did not heed the warning, and fainted instantly upon
touching the idol.
10th May 1997 - Swami manifested medicinal vibhuti on and around the Ganesha idol, and at
the base of a Shirdi Baba picture in the puja room at "Sannidhanam".
11th May 1997- A puja was performed to a deity that represents Ayurvedic medicinal healing
(Dhanvanthri), during which many herbs were put into the fire (yaga). The devotees prayed to Swami asking Him to give some other herbs which
manifested on His chair.
26th May 1997- Swami directed 8 devotees to visit Kanyakumari. There they dived into the
sea and brought up 9 Hanuman idols and one Narayana idol, all manifested by Swami. When they left them in their hotel
room, Swami also materialised vibhuti and kum kum on the idols.
27th May 1997- Swami materialised some herbal medicinal vibhuti on the Ganesha idol.
29th May 1997- A request was made in a letter that morning by the Omkumar family to rename
their house 'Sri Sai Nivas' (the residence of Sai). This letter was placed at the feet of Swami's chair, and as His blessing,
He manifested a 1kg laddu on His chair that same afternoon.
